I saw your sjoelblog. Cool. Just an addition to your list of interesting sjoelen stories.
We pooled our money at the office and bought a sjoelbak from a guy in CHatham Ontario. We play it without fail EVERY lunch break in a back room that houses newspaper archives. Today, interestingly enough, a coworker created a spreadsheet to keep track of our scoring patterns and averages. Another coworker bought "isjoel" on iTunes this week.
We have one customized rule that bestows an extra 10 points if you get 20pts with your first 4 pucks...first round only. We call it a "flinke".
We have often joked about a magazine that would be called Sjoelbook...we even have a mock-up of the cover.
